Daren Wang ist der Gründungsgeschäftsführer des AJC Decatur Book Festivals, das nun in seinem zwölften Jahr ist. Als Produzent des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks produzierte und/oder moderierte er mehrere Reihen, darunter The Spoken Word, Porches: The South and Her Writers, Circle of Friends, Between the Lines, ArtVoice und Atlanta Forum. Seine Texte erschienen unter anderem in Paste Magazine, Five Points Magazine, der Atlanta Journal Constitution, AJC Travel und The Saporta Report. The Hidden Light of Northern Fires ist sein erster Roman. Er ist Absolvent der Cornell University und lebt mit seiner Frau Eva in Decatur, Georgia.
