New Chapters in Functional Syntax

The collective monograph presents seven thematically-related studies that enhance research in functional syntax, particularly focusing on functional sentence perspective. This publication serves as a tribute to the esteemed Czech Anglicist prof. PhDr. Aleš Svoboda, DrSc., highlighting the enduring inspiration derived from his linguistic contributions. It features contributions from Czech and Slovak linguists from various cities, including Ostrava, Opava, Brno, Prague, and Bratislava: Martin Adam, Libuše Dušková, Jana Chamonikolasová, Stanislav J. Kavka, Eva Klímová, Renata Povolná, Richard Repka, Ivana Řezníčková, and Ludmila Urbanová. Additionally, the monograph concludes with a selected bibliography of Aleš Svoboda's works published after 1989.
