Freud‹s ‹Zur Einführung des Narzißmus‹ (On Narcissism) is one of the fundamental works of psychoanalytic theory. It deals with complex problems such as the role of narcissism in normal and pathological development and the relationship between narcissism, homosexuality, libido and self-esteem. Freud‹s theory of »primary narcissism» is still being discussed today.
