This publications reviews a range of issues regarding gender aspects of occupational safety and health (OSH), including: possible differences in the safety of the working life of men and women, such as exposure to hazards, health outcomes and access to resources, and their causes; absenteeism, disability, compensation and rehabilitation; information gathering and knowledge gaps on the subject; actions to promote occupational safety and health equality in the workplace; and mainstreaming gender into OSH.
