Arroyo of Shells

Set in the northern New Mexico town of Ojo Verde, the story intertwines the lives of Tulona Puebloans and the looming threat of crime as a prehistoric medicine bundle and a Navajo mask go missing from the Franklin Deerfield Museum. Tribal policeman Richard Tafoya and biology specialist Janet Rael investigate the thefts, uncovering a plot to revive an ancient culture that disrupts the Pueblo's peace. As they delve deeper, a murder complicates their quest for justice, leading to unexpected revelations shaped by mystical elements.
