"Paddington bake a cake! Not in my kitchen," declares Mrs Bird firmly. She has suffered from Paddington's efforts in that line before. But she relents enough to let him use the field kitchen outside. Paddington certainly bakes a surprise prize cake, and from that date becomes an even more fervent Blue Peter fan. The presenters become quite fond of Paddington too and he is even allowed to take care of one of the Blue Peter pets when they go on their summer expedition. When Paddington, everyone's favourite bear, and Blue Peter, everyone's favourite television programme, get together, the result is bound to be hilarious, so much so that the television studios have never been quite the same since!
