PronPack is a collection of four resource books designed to assist teachers in focusing on English pronunciation, each offering a unique approach. PronPack 4: Pronunciation Poems features rhymes, chants, limericks, raps, and song lyrics specifically crafted to highlight multiple examples of target pronunciation features. Activities typically start with exercises to complete or correct the text and culminate in practicing the text aloud. These poems help learners notice specific English pronunciation features due to their frequent occurrence in short language samples. They also provide concentrated practice through chanting, making them memorable as students often recall the lyrics, allowing for additional silent practice. The majority of poems concentrate on individual sounds, while later sections address consonant clusters, grammatical –ed and –s endings, and weak forms. Importantly, the poems also emphasize connected speech.
