On 1 March 2007, a notice was placed on Selfridges’ website asking members of the public to answer the following What are the wonders of your world? For 60 days, this question remained on the website and was additionally circulated in letters and emails and by word of mouth. During that time, hundreds of replies were received, many of which are collected and illustrated in this volume.
