Der »Index für Inklusion« ist ein Leitfaden für die gemeinsame Schulentwicklung auf der Basis inklusiver Werte. Er hilft allen Beteiligten, Barrieren und Ressourcen für Lernen und Partizipation zu identifizieren. Schulen und andere Bildungseinrichtungen können daran ablesen, inwieweit sie bereits Kulturen, Strukturen und Praktiken der Inklusion umsetzen. Der »Index for Inclusion« wurde von Tony Booth und Mel Ainscow entwickelt. Die vorliegende Adaption für deutschsprachige Bildungssysteme basiert auf der 4. Auflage (2016). Der Index wurde von Expert/innen aus Theorie und Praxis unter der Leitung von Prof. Tony Booth (University of Cambridge) und Prof. Mel Ainscow (University of Manchester) entwickelt und im Jahr 2000 erstmals herausgegeben. Seither wurde er in England dreimal überarbeitet und neu aufgelegt (2002, 2011, 2016). Die vorliegende Übersetzung und Anpassung für deutschsprachige Bildungssysteme basiert auf der 4. Auflage des englischen »Index for Inclusion« (2016), der bislang in mehr als 35 Sprachen übersetzt wurde
