Aktualisierte, umgestaltete und umgearbeitete Auflage des Stadtführers für Istanbul (zuletzt BA 12/08) aus der eingeführten Reihe: um 10 Seiten gekürzt, mit modernem Coverfoto, ohne Hochglanzseiten, farbiges Inhaltsverzeichnis übersichtlicher gestaltet, gröe︢re Schrifttypen, mit farbigen 3-dimensionalen Plänen. Die vorliegende Auflage ist die Übersetzung der 7. englischsprachigen Auflage "Lonely Planet Istanbul" (Stand Februar 2013). Elke Nibbrig schrieb zur 1. deutschen Ausgabe (BA 12/08): "Faktenreich, interessant und locker geschrieben in der reihenüblichen, handbuchartigen Aufmachung mit Detailplänen ... ". Der Stadtplan ist in dieser Ausgabe eingeklebt. Ältere Auflagen sollten wegen der vollständigen Umarbeitung ausgetauscht werden.
