Dieser Tagungsband präsentiert Arbeiten des dritten Nordwestdeutschen Linguistischen Kolloquiums (NWLK) der Gesellschaft zur Förderung der sprachwissenschaftlichen Forschung im Nordwesten (GFsFNW), welches am 03. und 04. Dezember 2010 an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität in Oldenburg stattfand. Dabei wurden in knapp 30 Beiträgen auch zahlreiche neue Forschungsvorhaben, zum Teil auch in Form von Projektskizzen und Pilotstudien, vorgestellt. Die Bandbreite der Beiträge umfasst die Themengebiete Spracherwerb und Diskurslinguistik, systematische und sprachvergleichende Sprachwissenschaft sowie die kulturhistorisch geprägte Linguistik. Die sieben Beiträge in diesem Tagungsband stellen einen Ausschnitt der linguistischen Forschungsarbeiten dar, die im Rahmen des Kolloquiums präsentiert wurden. Auch hier sind diverse sprachwissenschaftliche Disziplinen vertreten. Wie bei der Gründung des NWLK im Jahr 2008 beabsichtigt, stammt der Großteil der Beiträge von Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und Nachwuchswissenschaftlern aus dem norddeutschen Raum. Dieser Tagungsband stellt somit eine Auswahl aktueller sprachwissenschaftlicher Forschung aus dem Nordwesten dar.
