Olivier Kugler Bücher

Vier Jahre lang hat Olivier Kugler vom Irak bis nach England im Auftrag von Médecins Sans Frontières/Ärzte ohne Grenzen (MSF) syrische Flüchtlinge getroffen, interviewt und gezeichnet, erst im Flüchtlingslager Domiz im Nordirak, auf der griechischen Insel Kos, im sogenannten Dschungel in Calais und schließlich in Großbritannien und Deutschland. Einige dieser eindrücklichen Porträts von Leuten, die dem Krieg entronnen sind, wurden bereits in Zeitschriften wie Harper’s (USA), The Guardian (GB), Internazionale IT) und Le Monde Diplomatique abgedruckt.

The graphic novel captures the harrowing experiences of Syrian refugees living in various camps across Iraq, Greece, France, Germany, Switzerland, and England. Through a blend of interviews and photographs collected during the author's tenure with Doctors Without Borders, it presents a poignant and visually impactful portrayal of their struggles and resilience. This work not only highlights individual stories but also sheds light on the broader humanitarian crisis faced by displaced populations.
