Andrei Wosnesenskij war ein sowjetischer und russischer Dichter, den Robert Lowell als „einen der größten lebenden Dichter in jeder Sprache“ bezeichnete. Er gehörte zu den „Kindern der 60er Jahre“, einer neuen Welle ikonischer russischer Intellektueller, die aus dem Tauwetter Chruschtschows hervorgingen.
