Although they travel the United States and the world on assignment, Larsh K. Bristol lives in Waukon, and Curt Maas in Johnston. Around Iowa, they train their cameras on daily life, the beauties of landscapes, changes in weather and seasons, and more. As artists with the lens, both discover artistic images all around—trees coated with sparkling ice, dew-beaded spider webs, rolling hills turned mystical by morning mist, historical sites recalling ancestors and ancients, farming's geometric patterns, or the flaming sunset that closes a frigid winter day.
