Nachdem Sam und Ella die Befreiung Grimorgas gerade noch verhindern konnten (vgl. Band 1: "Abstieg in die Tiefe"; ID-A 29/21), ist etwas Ruhe in die unterirdische Stadt Catacombia eingekehrt und Sam widmet sich an der Akademie der Entwicklung seiner Fähigkeiten, doch dann wird Ellas Mutter Rania von Kobel, einem Jünger Grimorgas, entführt. Mit ihr als Druckmittel bringt er Sam dazu, ihm zu helfen. Dieser findet heraus, dass Kobel die Einwohner Catacombias über die im Nacken implantierte Chips kontrolliert und das ist nicht das Schlimmste: Es wird immer deutlicher, dass die Dämonin Grimorga nicht vernichtet wurde. Ganz Catacombia schwebt in höchster Gefahr. Auch der 2. Band ist packend und temporeich erzählt und voller überraschender Wendungen. Die Idee von Jugendlichen in Parallelwelten ist nicht neu, doch diese Reihe sprüht vor fantastischen Einfällen, gerade die Co-Existenz von Fantasy- und Science-Fiction-Elementen macht die spannende Geschichte interessant. Das schöne Cover macht neugierig. Band 3 erscheint im Herbst. Weiterhin unbedingt auch schon für kleinere Bestände empfohlen. antolin
