Amy and Daniel are very much in love and have a baby on the way. Their future looks even more perfect when Amy's brother, Marcus, announces his engagement. But then tragedy strikes, and Amy suddenly find herself in a very lonely place. Amy can't bear to go back to the house she shared with Daniel, so she moves in with Marcus and his best friend, Dean. Dean is gorgeous - and he knows it; his reputation as a womaniser is well-deserved. Amy wouldn't expect to get much support from someone as shallow as Dean appears to be, but at least he doesn't tiptoe around her like her other friends do. As Amy struggles to find some resolution to her grief, Dean is beginning to wonder if his life is not quite as fulfilling as he thinks it is. As both of them fight their demons, Amy begins to wonder if there is more to Dean than meets the eye...
