Following a particularly public and gruesome murder on the stage of a theatre in the opening chapter, Detective's Gardener and Reilly find themselves enshrouded in mystery. The only clue at the scene of the crime is a haunting quote scrawled on the wall of the actor's dressing room, written using the victim's blood.
