Ihre Mission lautet, einen dauerhaften Frieden zwischen der Erde und Vers anzustoßen. Doch ein gezielter Terroranschlag zerfetzt den gesamten Geleitzug samt der Prinzessin. Die Reaktion aus Vers lässt nicht lange auf sich warten. Der „Krieg der Planeten“ entzündet sich aufs Neue und mittendrin finden sich zwei junge Männer wieder: Slaine Troyard, ein auf dem Feuerplaneten aufgewachsener Erdenbürger, der die Prinzessen rächen will, und Erdling Inaho, der sich entschließt, in seinem Mecha gegen die Truppen von Vers zu kämpfen.
