Tento slovník je určen primárně všem, jejichž rodným jazykem je angličtina a chtějí se zdokonalit v češtině. Cílem je usnadnit orientaci v základních slovech a názvech a pokročilým rozšířit slovní zásobu nebo upřesnit některé výrazy, které jsou pro české rodilé mluvčí samozřejmostí. Slovník se nevyhýbá ani běžným hovorovým výrazům, které se ve slovnících spisovného jazyka obvykle nevyskytují.
