By early 1966, the Rolling Stones had firmly established their status as rock icons, enjoying significant wealth and indulging in luxurious homes and cars. Their official photographer and friend, Gered Mankowitz, was invited to conduct an "at home" photo session with each band member. However, the band was reluctant to allow unknown photographers into their private spaces, preferring to keep control over their image. Mankowitz stored these photographs in supermarket carrier bags under his desk for years, questioning why he held onto them. This book marks the first time these sessions have been compiled and published, featuring both iconic and previously unseen images. Highlights include Mick in a kipper tie with his new television, Keith posing with his blue Bentley and antique sword, Charlie next to lingerie drying in the garden, Brian in a silk shirt before a hand-painted mural, and Bill in the kitchen with his dog. This collection, titled Goin' Home with the Rolling Stones '66, showcases Mankowitz's remarkable skill and offers a unique perspective on the band. It includes an introduction by Mankowitz and a foreword by the Rolling Stones' legendary manager, Andrew Loog Oldham.

V červenci 1962 odehrála skupina mladých mužů koncert v The Marquee Club na Oxford Street v Londýně. Říkali si "Rollin 'Stones" a vůbec netušili, že brzy budou psát hudební historii. Tento nová kniha zachycuje zrod a mladého ducha skupiny Rolling Stones. V letech 1963-1965 dva mladí fotografové právě startovali své kariéry. Pětadvacetiletý Terry O'Neill měl již několikaleté zkušenosti s fotografováním muzikantů a věděl, že tato skupina má stejné kouzlo jako jiný britský fenomén té doby - Beatles. Gered Mankowitz se přidal na prvním turné skupiny. Jeho první snímky z dnes již legendární Mason´s Yard Session byly tak skvělé, že byl požádán, aby se připojil i k turné do Ameriky. Geredovi bylo jen 19, když v roce 1965 fotil Stoney. Tito dva legendární fotografové na svých snímcích zachytili začátky kapely, která se nesmazatelně zapsala do historie hudby.Fotografie v této knize jsou doplněny různými vzpomínkami a rozhovory.
