Tak zaczyna się historia głównego bohatera. Mija 18 lat. X jest idealistą. Za trzy lata jest już tatą i mężem. Od tego momentu jest już tylko gorzej. Wszystko powoli rozsypuje się, jak piaskowiec. Małżeństwo, praca. Polska rzeczywistość. Traci nawet kontakt z synem. Bohater patrzy wokół i wydaje mu się, że wszyscy mają lepiej od niego. I faktycznie, tak jest. Idealizm już dawno zniknął. Teraz jest żal do świata i pytanie; w czym jestem gorszy..? Nic się nie układa. Ale w końcu coś zmienia się w jego życiu. Zakochuje się pierwszy raz. Tak, pierwszy raz. Teraz to wie. Teraz razem spadają w nicość. Piękna miłość i brzydka bieda. Ale wzajemne wsparcie- bezcenne. I w końcu coś zmienia się na lepsze. X wyjeżdża do pracy za granicę. Najwięcej jest, oczywiście alkoholików. Ale są też dziwacy, erotomani, d…włazy, psychole i cwaniaczki. Przewinęło się też parę pozytywnych postaci. Znalazł się również kryminalista. I to on rozkręca wątek kryminalny. Są zabawne nieporozumienia, niedostosowana do polskiej przebiegłości Garda. Ktoś ląduje w więzieniu, ktoś ucieka przed Gardą. Sytuacja staje się zagmatwana. W końcu i główny bohater zostaje zatrzymany. Jednak wszystko się wyjaśnia. Głowny bohater jest wolny. Wydaje się, po raz kolejny, że w końcu sprawy się ustabilizowały. Ale wtedy ktoś napada bohatera przed domem. Traci on przytomność. Kiedy się budzi, znów wiele rzeczy się zmieniło. A zakończenie będzie niespodzianką dla wszystkich, którzy zechcą przeczytać tą książkę.
