For seven years, Nevine has lived with Sylvère and Sanvean. Her savior has resumed his activities in clandestine transport and retrieval: getbacking. Now eighteen, Nevine has been Sylvère's partner for the past three years. They undertake numerous missions assigned by their main contractor, Scarpetti. He offers them a contract with a staggering reward that would allow them to refurbish the Sirena, equip the StarSeeker with state-of-the-art components, and envision a more comfortable future.
