Reading and Writing Poems with Students of English
The aim of Poem into Poem is to make poetry in English accessible to upper-intermediate and more advanced students. There are strong arguments for using poetry as both input and output in the language learning process: poems are often highly memorable; they can enhance a learner's feel for the language; and they can offer a powerful stimulus for reflection and discussion. The activities in this book are designed to aid understanding and lead students towards producing their own poems in English.
