We stand at the threshold of an exciting era in Asteroseismology, with the imminent launch of the Canadian small-satellite mission MOST, followed by Danish and French missions MONS and COROT, and the ESA mission Eddington in 2007/8. Helioseismology has successfully imaged the Sun's internal structure and dynamics, while ground-based observations have detected solar-like oscillations in stars such as alpha Centauri A. Techniques from helioseismology are now being applied to test the physics and evolutionary states of these stars. Multi-mode oscillations are being observed in various types of stars, including slowly pulsating B stars, delta Scuti stars, Ap stars, and pulsating white dwarfs, with new classes of pulsators continually being discovered across the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. The conference titled 'Asteroseismology Across the HR Diagram' reflects the breadth of this research area. However, significant challenges remain in observation, data analysis, and theory that must be addressed to realize the full potential of asteroseismology. The conference aimed to foster cross-fertilization of ideas among researchers from different specializations, and it succeeded in promoting collaboration and innovation in this dynamic field.
