Five novella-length tales explore love that transcends all barriers, including death. In "Ink: The Tale of a Vampire in Melbourne," Dominic, feeling isolated, visits a tattoo parlor and meets Michael, an artist who stirs emotions he thought long buried. As Dominic, typically the predator, finds himself drawn to Michael, he grapples with the dangerous allure of his feelings. "After the Storm" follows Vincent Poulsen, who, frustrated by his chronic illness, retreats to an old lighthouse. There, he encounters the ghostly Captain Cason, whose tragic past intertwines with Vincent’s fate, presenting them both with a chance to alter their futures. In "Revenant," Bo Andressen and his salvage crew uncover a web of murder and greed in a crumbling castle, where they must navigate dangers both spectral and human to prevent more victims from falling to an ancient curse. "Seeing Is Believing" introduces Scott Cunningham, who has a ghost problem requiring expert help. Zacharias and his team face challenges in resolving the haunting, as failure could lead to innocent lives being harmed. Lastly, "Bittersweet" features Harrison Holden, whose life is unraveling. After rescuing Piers Claybrook from a car crash, he wakes to find Piers, now a ghost, determined to help Harrison navigate the complexities of life and death.
