This book starts with historical background followed by a description of the Ki-44 development. The largest part of text covers the operational deployment, including operations in Burma, Indonesia, the Philippines, CBI theatre, Manchuria and Japan. There are also separate chapters dedicated to the Ki-44 medaled pilots, post war operators and fates of captured aircraft. A brief overview of the existing Ki-44 kits is also provided. The book contains over 70 b/w contemporary photos (some of them published for the first time), more than 30 colour side profiles, 8 pages of drawings taken from the original Ki-44-II manual, and last but not least, 32 pages of 1/48th and 1/72nd scale drawings. 104 pages.

Japonsko vyrábělo po celé minulé století mnoho kvalitních a úspěšných leteckých konstrukcí. Některé z nich měly celosvětové renomé. Stíhací letoun Mitsubishi A6M Reisen se pod jménem Zero stal doslova legendou. Pokud však máme hovořit o celé kategorii letadel, v níž Japonsko dominovalo až do konce 2. světové války, pak musíme zmínit průzkumné letouny. Do této kategorie patřilo i Ki-46 Dinah. Publikace popisuje vznik a vývoj, bojové nasazení, letecké esa, osudy kořistních strojů, poválečných uživatelů, muzejní exponáty a informace o modelech a doplňcích. Text publikace doplňuje množství fotografií celkových záběrů i detailů, výkresy, tabulky a barevné bokorysy.
