Alan Burnett ist ein amerikanischer Fernsehautor und -produzent, der besonders für seine Arbeit bei Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera Productions, DC Comics und Walt Disney Television Animation bekannt ist. Sein Einfluss ist bei nahezu jedem DC-Animationsprojekt seit den späten Jahren von Super Friends spürbar. Für Disney war Burnett maßgeblich am "Disney Afternoon" in den 1990er Jahren beteiligt und trug zu Serien wie "Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears" und verschiedenen Projekten aus dem Universum von Scrooge McDuck bei. Aufgrund seines Hauptaugenmerks auf animierte Fernsehserien war er gelegentlich auch an Filmprojekten beteiligt, die mit einer übergeordneten Fernsehsendung verbunden waren.
