Die 2004 gegründete Sammlung Verbund integriert aktuelle zeitgenössische Kunst in das Umfeld klassischer Positionen seit 1970. Die Kollektion folgt der Maxime 'Tiefe statt Breite'. Ein Schwerpunkt ist Performanz mit dem Frühwerk von Cindy Sherman. Zudem ergeben sich neue Dialoge zwischen Urs Lüthi, Gilbert & George, Valie Export, Francesca Woodman, Birgit Jürgenssen, Sarah Lucas und Gillian Wearing.
