Der Herausgeber: Manfred Heiting lebt als international anerkannter Foto- und Buchexperte und -sammler in Amsterdam und Malibu. Er ist Gründungsmitglied des J. Paul Getty Museum Council und Mitglied im Aufsichtsrat der Herb Ritts Foundation. Er ist Herausgeber von Deutschland im Fotobuch (2011) sowie Mitherausgeber von Autopsie: Deutschsprachige Fotobücher 1918-1945 (2012).
