Zasvěcené a objevné dílo anglického spisovatele a geomanta ukazuje, že systém čísel a geometrických proporcí, užívaný v chrámech a městech mnoha dávných civilizací, je přítomný i v původním plánu hlavního města Spojených států amerických. Autorem tohoto plánu byl geniální architekt francouzského původu Pierre Charles L´Enfant, jenž novému hlavnímu městu americké federace, které vyrůstalo takříkajíc na zelené louce, vtiskl jeho jedinečnou podobu. Ve svém velkolepém projektu vymezil a vyvážil moc lidu, jednotlivých států Unie, justice, legislativy a prezidenta.
