Tato tenká knížka se může stát životním průvodcem. Nestačí ji jednou přečíst – to by byla otázka několika desítek minut. Je třeba ji uvést radikálně do života. Pokud si čtenář osvojí důležité zásady, které jsou nám zde nabízeny, nalezne nejen pokoj srdce a objeví hluboký smysl svého života, ale bude moci úspěšně duchovně růst. Některým „moderním“ lidem možná přijde nadbytečné předkládat čtenářům tuto „vykopávku“, kterou by spíš zařadili do propadliště temné a dávno překonané minulosti. Někomu se možná bude zdát až trestuhodné, že jsou zde nabízena velmi jednoduchá, jakoby zaručená, řešení a rady, že chybí psychologizování a zproblematizování, na které jsme si už v posledních desetiletích v náboženské literatuře zvykli. Jiný možná bude chtít zpochybnit a vytknout podle něj „nezdravý“ akcent na mariánskou úctu nebo častější varování před hříchem a zavržením. Další asi neopomene připomenout a zpochybnit „nemoderní“ výzvy k většímu množství úkonů atd. Ano, takové a další mohou být námitky křesťana (případně dokonce teologa) 21. století proti této knížce. Ale přesto a možná právě proto je třeba toto dílko nepřehlédnout a vzít vážně. Jsou zde cenná, konkrétní, staletími ověřená ujasnění a odpovědi na nejdůležitější otázky, které mohou ovlivnit život. A navíc z nejkvalitnějšího zdroje – od světce, učitele Církve a patrona moralistů a zpovědníků. (P. Marek Dunda)
