Nach ihrem Abitur in Frankreich studierte Charlotte an der Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, wo sie sich auf Illustration und Design spezialisierte. Als Bilderbuchkünstlerin debütierte sie mit Dido. Seitdem hat sie für eine Vielzahl von Verlagen und Zeitschriften illustriert.
