Obwohl er nach Ärger aussieht, ist Jiro eigentlich ein mitfühlender Kerl. Besonders für Tiere hat er eine Schwäche. Doch diese seltsame schwarze Katze vor einem urplötzlich erscheinenden Monster zu retten, erweist sich als Fehler. Das Fellknäuel entpuppt sich als Mononoke, ein geheimnisvolles Geisterwesen. Wie es aussieht, ist die Hölle selbst auf der Jagd nach dem Tier und seinen Fähigkeiten. Doch die sind auf einmal in Jiro versiegelt.
Während sich Amagi genüsslich einen toten Kameraden nach dem anderen zwischen die Kiemen schiebt und Kater Rago hilflos dabei zusehen muss, lässt Jiro bei der Behörde die Katze aus dem Sack: das Training im Mononoke-Wald war total witzlos und er kriegt es immer noch nicht gebacken, seine monströsen Kräfte zu kontrollieren. Trotzdem will er Rago auf jeden Fall aus den Fängen des Kannibalen befreien. Schließlich verdankt er dem räudigen Kater sein Leben.
Amagi will die Verschmelzung von Jiro und Rago wieder aufheben und setzt den beiden die Pistole auf die Brust. Entweder Rago ist ein braves Kätzchen und schließt sich Amagi an, oder Jiro ist Matsch. Aber das kann sich die Schmalzlocke natürlich so was von abschmin… Hey! Was? Nicht, Rago! Dieses verdammte Katzenvieh zögert keine Sekunde und wirft sich seinem Todfeind einfach in die Arme? Verrat! Betrug! Möge das Fellknäul in der Hölle schmoren!
Na geil. War ja klar, dass Jiro ausgerechnet den Brillenfutzi Reiji als Partner für seine erste Mission bei Black Torch abkriegt. Hoffentlich rutscht der Typ irgendwann auf der Schleimspur aus, die er überall hinterlässt. Jiro geht sein Gelaber gehörig auf den Sack und er ergreift die nächstbeste Chance, Reiji zu zeigen, wo der Hammer hängt. Danach können sich die beiden endlich um ihre Mission in der seltsamen Höhle kümmern, in der Ragos magische Kräfte versiegelt worden sind. Doch warum kann sich der Kater an nichts mehr erinnern?
Jiro hat einen übelst heftigen Kater. Der lässt sich von ihm durchfüttern und aufpäppeln, und führt sich dabei auf wie eine Diva. Aber Jiro hat sich nicht den Arsch aufgerissen, nur damit sich das undankbare Katzenvieh jetzt vom nächsten Monster in Stücke reißen lässt. Konnte ja keiner ahnen, dass Kater Rago ein Geisterwesen mit übernatürlichen Fähigkeiten ist, das zu allem Überfluss auch noch Dämonen anzieht wie Scheiße die Fliegen. Bald sind Himmel und Hölle hinter ihnen her und dann überträgt dieser verdammte Kater auch noch seine Kräfte auf ihn! What the cat?!
