The second edition features significant revisions while maintaining the original concept of a concise yet rigorous mathematical treatment focused on computer applications to real datasets. Key enhancements include the incorporation of R as a statistical analysis tool, reflecting its maturity and growing popularity. Chapter 3 now includes a section on bootstrap estimation methods, which have become widely used in practice.
