At the center of the story is Toby O'Dare, known as Lucky the Fox, a notorious contract killer living under various aliases. As he navigates this treacherous landscape, his journey unfolds from medieval villages to the cities of London and Paris, evolving into a tale of danger, loyalty, betrayal, selflessness, and love.
