Both horse owners and non-owners have recognized the remarkable abilities of horses to aid healing from physical and mental conditions, such as autism and multiple sclerosis, through Equine Therapy. Individuals with severe emotional challenges are experiencing healing and recovery through the love and acceptance found in relationships with horses. This work presents a unique perspective on why horses possess such transformative healing powers for emotionally wounded individuals, including troubled teens, prison inmates, and veterans with PTSD.
