Amil and the After

Set in 1948 Bombay, the story follows 12-year-old Amil, a boy of both Muslim and Hindu heritage, as he navigates his identity amidst societal chaos. With the encouragement of his twin sister, he begins to express his feelings and experiences through drawings dedicated to their deceased mother. This creative outlet serves as a means for Amil to seek hope and a sense of belonging in a turbulent environment, highlighting themes of grief, identity, and the power of art.
