But more than thirty years later, a trivial encounter with the police set off a catastrophic chain of events which resulted in Tom losing everything -- family, home and self-respect. It became obvious that the psychological wounds he received in Vietnam were still festering. If he were to have any chance of a future, Tom would have to relive the past by confronting those traumatic yet deeply-buried memories of his Vietnam ordeal.
