Mehr zum Buch
The book delves into the integration experiences of government-sponsored refugees in Canada, highlighting a longitudinal study conducted in Calgary. Through the lens of a Colombian physician and his family, it reveals how their cultural and social capital is often overlooked, leading to the devaluation of their education and credentials. The findings emphasize the critical need to address the barriers faced by highly trained professionals in achieving recognition within their fields, advocating for better integration strategies.
