Keeper of the Isis Light

Set on the planet Isis, the story follows Olwen Pendennis, who celebrates her tenth birthday but is technically sixteen in Earth years. Orphaned after her parents' death, she lives alone, operating the Isis Light, a space lighthouse that assists ships and facilitates the arrival of settlers from Earth. The narrative explores themes of isolation, responsibility, and the challenges of growing up in a unique environment far from her ancestral home.
