In the year 1118, an extraterrestrial rescue module crashes in France. Knight Hugues de Payn encounters the alien Baphomet, who offers him a deal: if Hugues ensures a constant supply of food for eternity, he will receive great wealth and powerful weapons in return. Meanwhile, he is to establish the Order of the Templars, which will support the war in the Holy Land. The main story unfolds in 1275, when the now numerous order, utilizing foreign technologies, conquers Jerusalem and prepares to dominate the entire world.
