This book reviews mysticism from the beginning of recorded history up to the present day, not only reviewing mystics themselves, but numerous other pertinent sources of information such as philosophers, physicists, discarnate sources, and ancient traditions. From all these source, as well as the personal experience of the author, an overall picture of our basic reality structure is developed, its basic operating systems examined, and its meaning for modern man explored. As well, a full program for the expansion and deepening of individual consciousness is presented, based on a variety of techniques developed from these sources. The true nature and purpose of man's existence is examined and an intellectually rigorous, scientifically rational explanation is presented which provides an uplifting, positive viewpoint for man and gives every individual the understanding and tools necessary to live a meaningful, fulfilling life and to become a contributor toward the betterment of the planet. Consciousness itself is presented as it has been for millennia through many traditions and by some of the greatest beings in history, as the fundamental essence of existence, the irreducible basis of life itself, and our own innermost essence.
