Kayli Winchester is a dirt-poor girl living in a hotel, struggling to care for her alcoholic father and teenage brother, whom she’s determined to keep in school. The Academy boys strive to keep her safe, but a thief like Kayli struggles to stay hidden. This marks the beginning of the Scarab Beetle series, featuring mature themes and situations.
