The dangerously beautiful Lucky, star of two previous bestsellers, returns in a gripping tale where she sets her sights on conquering Hollywood. Having grown up in a crime family and endured three marriages, Lucky is determined to claim Panther Studios, the last independent movie studio not under corporate control. Her journey is fraught with adversaries, friends, and betrayals, testing her relationship with her husband, the charismatic comedian Lennie Golden. To prove her worth, Lucky must disguise herself as a secretary and go undercover at Panther Studios, owned by the irascible Abe Panther, who challenges her to show she has what it takes to thrive in Hollywood. This adventure not only ignites her passion for risk but also leads her into a world of financial scheming, betrayal, and scandalous encounters. As she makes her final move and assumes the role of Lady Boss, Lucky shocks the industry, jeopardizing her marriage and inciting the wrath of crime boss Carlos Bonnatti, whose vendetta against her family spans generations. With this thrilling narrative, Jackie Collins reintroduces one of her most captivating characters, showcasing her prowess as the queen of glamorous fiction.
