Le musée des Beaux-arts de Lyon proposera une relecture du thème de la baigneuse dans l'oeuvre de Pablo Picasso avec des contrepoints d'oeuvre d'artistes du XIXe siècle qui ont influencé Picasso dans le traitement de ce sujet. D'autres artistes contemporains ou suiveurs de Picasso seront également présentés alors qu'ils se sont intéressés aux baigneuses picassiennes et ont trouvé en elles une source d'inspiration ou le prétexte à une confrontation. 0L'exposition est organisée en partenariat avec le musée national Picasso-Paris et avec le concours de la Fondation Guggenheim de Venise.
