Daher wurde Baumwollstoff mit Zimtschalenextrakt behandelt, um seine Wirksamkeit gegen antibakterielle Aktivität zu bewerten & Waschen. Wässrige (kalte) Extrakte aus Zimtschalen wurden auf Baumwollgewebe aufgetragen, und die antibakterielle Aktivität der behandelten Baumwollgewebe wurde vor und nach dem Waschen mit einer Standardtestmethode untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die mit Zimtschalenextrakt behandelten Proben nach 24 Stunden der Inokulation in den gewaschenen Proben (ein Waschgang) eine gute Waschbeständigkeit aufwiesen. Nach 24 Stunden nahm die antibakterielle Aktivität allmählich ab, je länger die Inkubationszeit dauerte. Es ist jedoch erforderlich, die Stoffproben nach jedem Waschgang erneut zu behandeln.
