The life of Toni Butxana, a private detective, continues similarly after so many years: just as messed up. An anonymous client has hired him to investigate the life of the socialist Josep Taner, a possible candidate for the Generalitat, and an aging businessman has asked him to thoroughly follow his wife, who is only twenty-five, to find out if she is cheating. Butxana, on his part, is much more interested in the death of a prostitute who has been brutally murdered in the district of Commissioner Tordera, an old frustrated man who intends to take charge of the case as if it were a personal matter. However, he will have to forge an uncomfortable three-way alliance with the detective and journalist Hèctor Barrera to uncover who is behind the crime. The trio will delve into the decadent Valencia of the late century and discover that some things are not so different, that the case is connected to Butxana in unexpected ways, and that the past is a place where everyone always ends up returning.
