A solid lie can build a successful life, but when the truth comes to light, everything can be lost. The Stranger appears out of nowhere—in a bar, parking lot, or store. The Stranger reveals more secrets, and soon after the murder of Heidi Dunn, a friend of one of the victims, Detective Johanna Griffin begins an investigation. She uncovers a group led by the Stranger and reaches out to Adam. The lawyer and the detective join forces to find Adam's missing wife. As they uncover more about her life, Adam realizes that nearly everyone around him harbors secrets, and the only way to discover the truth is to find the Stranger, even if it shatters his orderly world.
