Alan Alexander Milne [ˈmɪln] (* 18. Januar 1882 in London; † 31. Januar 1956 in Hartfield, Sussex) war ein englischer Schriftsteller.







Wer kennt ihn nicht, Winnie-den-Pu, den Bären mit dem kleinen Verstand! Immerzu wollen sein Freund Christopher Robin und er eine Geschichte hören. Winnie-de-Poeh zählt den Leser von 10 Bienen bis zu keinen Bienen durch die Wiederholung einprägsamer Reime und mit Hilfe der äußerst ansprechenden ausgestanzten Plastik-Bienenformen.
In zehn Kapiteln lernt der Leser die verschiedenen Tiere und ihre Eigenarten näher kennen. Im Mittelpunkt steht Pu, ein gutmütiger und immer hungriger Bär, der lustige Alltagssituationen erlebt. So steigt er auf der Suche nach Honig mit einem Ballon auf und muss dann von Christopher Robin gerettet werden. Seine Naschsucht führt dazu, dass er nach einem »kleinen Mundvoll« bei Kaninchen im Ausgang stecken bleibt und eine Woche lang warten muss, bis er wieder schlanker wird. Mit seinem Freund Ferkel erlebt der Bär ebenfalls spannende Abenteuer: Gemeinsam verfolgen sie in zunehmender Aufregung die sich ständig vermehrenden Spuren eines unbekannten Tieres rund um einen Baum, bis sich herausstellt, dass es ihre eigenen Spuren sind.
