As he navigates a 500-year-old academic cover-up by the disavowed D'Enzi sect, he encounters rebel astronomer Max Mason and a Portuguese assassin in Key West. With the help of Rabbi Birnbaum, Woods races against time to decipher a mysterious diary that could unveil explosive truths while evading dangerous adversaries.
